28 day Amsterdam housing challenge – day 2: a disgusting proposition and a sitting move?
Today…
- Someone offered me a 3 month anti-squat place in the city. 'Yay' I thought, until he told me the kitchen was so inredibly vile that he didn't even dare check the toilet and bathroom. Seems the previous owner wasn't to keen on keeping up homely appearances.
- I made an appointment with Huisoppas.nl, for which I'll be traveling half the country. If this works out, I may get to house-sit for people who don't want their crib left unattended while on sabbatical or expat journey.
Tomorrow…
- I hope to finish and launch my super-secret viral campaign thingie!

The mission:
Find a new crib in Amsterdam by 1st January 2012.
Today's step(s):
- Phoned estate agent.
- Worked on a super-secret viral marketing thingie.
- Listened to music (related to step 2).
What the Universe gave me:
A space in IJmuiden (a bit far off centre, but in case I really get stuck for something…)

The mission (it's a tough one):
Find a new crib in Amsterdam by 1st January 2012.
The strategy:
- Take a step every day for the coming 28 days, by my own doing or through that of the universe.
The plan:
- Use social media
- Ask you and (other) people I know for help
- Create buzz
- Get on the evening news
- Meet the queen for lunch
- Have fun and land a place to live
